LANDO'S LANDED: A WINNING WEEKEND

LANDO'S LANDED: A WINNING WEEKEND

LANDO SECURES HIS MAIDEN WIN IN MIAMI

Over the weekend, our boss secured his maiden F1 win in Miami.

Only last week, Lando was busy with us in design meetings choosing upcoming collections for the QUADRANT brand, and on Sunday, he achieved his first ever Formula 1 win.

When asked about his upcoming races at the time, however, he humbly moved along the conversation about his achievements, to have full focus on the design work.

Then, just a few days later, Lando crossed the finish line in 1st place, achieving his fastest lap time at 1m 30.980s on Lap 55 and marking the first ever win in his Formula 1 career, after 110 race starts.

This weekend in the sunshine state, Lando started off with good pace, but unfortunately was knocked out of the Miami Sprint race due to a collision with another car.

Despite this, he qualified fifth for the Grand Prix  making this the highest position out of all his starts at the Miami International Autodrome. Although he dropped down to P6 in the first part of the race, he managed to stay out while other cars around him boxed, promoting him to P3.

By Lap 28, Lando was leading the Miami Grand Prix. In a perfect storm of race strategy, by Lap 29, he was the first car behind the safety car, and the tactical decision to pitstop in this lap, in a speedy 2.3s time, secured Lando’s ability to maintain the lead and cross the finish line as race winner!

During Lando’s recent visit to QUADRANT, he worked alongside the team to develop designs that not only he loves, but he hopes the QUADRANT community will love too. The Club Athletic quarter zip is his current go-to, and the Club Athletic white tee has been perfect for the Floridian weather.

The QUADRANT team is so proud of our CEO, and are looking forward to more victories in the future.
